OVERVIEW

Formed in 1991, The Gorham Economic Development Corporation (GEDC) is a non profit , quasi governmental agency that promotes community and economic development to expand the tax base and create new jobs in the Town of Gorham. The town adopted a Community and Economic Development Guide to assist the community in making policy decisions to achieve these goals.

WELCOME LETTER

Welcome to the Gorham Economic Development Corporation (GEDC) website.

Our mission is a simple one:  To promote the Town of Gorham, Maine as the best place to live, work and grow!

The website provides a wealth of information about our town and doing business here.

Take your time and browse the site.  You’ll find a snapshot of key demographic information on
The Gorham Area page.  A Property Search tab is prominently featured to assist business owners and entrepreneurs with finding just the right location for their business, and the FAQ page provides information about the streamlined permitting process for establishing a business.

Our Incentives page lets you know what programs and services the Town of Gorham offers to make it more affordable to locate here.  (Did you know we have a revolving loan fund available to businesses?) And, of course, a tour through our Photo Gallery will give you a feel for what makes Gorham such a unique and desirable place to call “home.”

I’m always available to answer questions, provide more information or take you around to get a feel of the town. Feel free to contact me by email or 854-5077.

Thank you for stopping by.
We welcome the opportunity to work with you, and look forward to doing business together.
